David James Gosser

David James Gosser, 89, of Greensburg, died Saturday, December 3, 2022. He was born January 26, 1933, in Jeannette, a son of the late James L. and Goldie M. Updegraff Gosser. He was a member of Maplewood United Presbyterian Church, Greensburg. David was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post 472, Manor. Prior to retirement Mr. Gosser was a biology teacher at Hempfield Area High School. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three sisters: Hazel M. Gosser, Gwendolyn G. Piazza, and Nellie I. Gosser, and a brother, Robert B. Gosser. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Slates Gosser; a niece, Jennie (Paul) Agius, of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; and two nephews: James Diehl, of Curtsville, and Robert C. (Beth) Gosser, of Greensburg. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Interment with full military honors accorded by the VFW Post 33 Honor Guard will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
