David Swope

David Brent Swope, 70 of Zanesville passed away at 9:46 PM Wednesday, April 26 at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House.
He was born June 9, 1952 in Zanesville, Ohio the son of Carroll David Swope and Evelyn Jeanne Reynolds Swope.
David was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, He retired from Rankin and Rankin after 48 years as an insurance agent. David was an avid golfer, a loving pawpaw and a music enthusiast.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Christine (Caw) Swope whom he married April 10, 1976; and daughters Jill (Chad) Leake of Alabama; Blair Swope of Zanesville; grandchild Hannah Leake; twin brother Dana (Cindi) Swope, sisters Abbey (Chuck) Morrison; Summer (Patrick) McGovern; and nieces and nephews Dana Christine Swope, Cole (Katie) Morrison; Bailey Morrison, Camden McGovern, Braelyn McGovern, Keigen McGovern and Mayzie McGovern; great niece Cameron Morrison and his father’s widow Tami Swope.
David is preceded in death by his father, Carroll David Swope and mother and father-in-law Charles E. and Susie Ault Caw, brother-in-law Tim Caw, cousin Eric Swope and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM with funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 1, 2023, at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home with Pastor Karen Montgomery officiating.
