Deborah Michele Rogers

Deborah Michele Rogers, 56, of Matthews, died Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Novant Medical Center in Matthews, NC.

Deborah was born in Newburgh, New York, on January 4, 1967, the daughter of Peter and Gloria Eileen Terrell Conyea.

Deborah was the youngest of 8 siblings and was loved beyond measure. She was known for her positive outlook, her contagious laugh and her loving commitment to her family.

Deborah moved to Charlotte in 1998 to pursue her career as a social worker at child protective services. She met Keith on one of her first nights in Charlotte. They married 2 years later and raised 2 beautiful children. Deborah was devoted to her family and enjoyed traveling to all parts of the country with them to visit extended family and friends. Nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews all adored her. She was always found playing with the little ones.

Most of all, Deborah loved the time spent with family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Keith, of Matthews; children: Nicholas and Kyleigh; and siblings: Cheryl and Bob Vredenburg of Matamoras, PA, Pete and Alison Conyea of Phoenix, AZ, Annette and Rich Barton of Fort Collins, CO, Lenny and Kathy Conyea of Guthrie, KY, Ronnie and Johnna Conyea of Hickory, KY, and Darla Conyea of Norwood, NY. Deborah is further survived by numerous other beloved relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers: Brian Conyea and Shawn Conyea.

Deborah’s family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for her and for them. Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, June 23, 2023, at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Charlotte, NC 28227.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be greatly appreciated and used for the benefit of her children.
