Rock Hill – Debra Bailey Wise, 62, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 at her home.
Debra was born on August 29, 1960 to the late Jack T. Thomas and Annie Ola Mae Thomas. Debra was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was known as being quick witted, an awesome cook, and big hearted. Debra, a proud MawMaw, was a flip flop wearing, beach loving, southern gal.
She is survived by her husband, Michael D. Wise; her children, Shannon McElroy of Edgemoor, SC, Jodie Foxx (Steve) of Edgemoor, SC, and Haley Wise of Charlotte, NC; her sister, Nancy June Bridges; her grandchildren, Dallas Rooney (Janelle) of Kingsland, GA; Bailey Sutton of Hickory Grove, SC; and Jacob Foxx of Edgemoor, SC; her great-grandchild, Hayden Rooney of Kingsland, GA; and her father-in-law, Marvin Wise and mother-in-law, Marie Wise.
She is preceded in death by her brothers, Luther Ray Thomas, Billy Michael Thomas, and David Thomas.
The family will receive visitors Thursday evening from 6:00PM to 7:30PM at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, Rock Hill, SC, 29732. A funeral service will be held for Mrs. Debra Wise the following day on Friday, October 14, 2022, at 2:00PM at First Church of Nazarene, on 718 N Jones Avenue, Rock Hill, SC 29730. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park on Cherry Road.
