Della Mae Vargo
June 4, 1932 - July 29, 2024 (Age 92)
Della Mae (Fore) Poston Vargo, 92, of New Hanover Township, PA, passed away on July 29, 2024, at Sanatoga Center. She was the wife of William P. Vargo, with whom she shared 35 years of marriage.
Born in Washington County, VA, on June 4, 1932, Della was the daughter of the late William Ray Fore Sr. and Bertha Mae (DeBoard) Fore.
Della graduated from Glade Spring High School in 1951, and worked as a seamstress for 35 years working for Spring City Knitting and Lincoln Underwear.
Della is survived by her husband, William Vargo; her son, Robert Poston; her daughter, Rebecca Buhl; her grandchildren, Christina, Robert, Sarah, and Laura; her seven great-grandchildren; her one great-great-grandchild; and her siblings, Lorraine Sullins, Charles Fore, Robert Fore, and Roy Fore.
In addition to her parents, Della was predeceased by her first husband, Robert Poston; and her siblings, Betty Fore, Nancy Hunt, and William Fore Jr.
A viewing will take place on August 7, 2024, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Houck & Gofus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 955 N. Charlotte St., Pottstown, PA 19464. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place after the service at Highland Memorial Park, 701 Farmington Ave., Pottstown, PA 19464.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Della’s memory to St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Rd., Pennsburg, PA 18073.
