Delores Maxine Cleaver

Delores Maxine “Max” Cleaver, age 85, of West Liberty, formerly of Columbus, Ohio passed away Monday evening, May 2, 2022. Born on November 19, 1936 in Piedmont, OH, Maxine was a daughter of the late Paul and Berdena (Williams) Murphy. She married Lonnie Cleaver on February 3, 1956 who preceded her in death on May 22, 2014.
Maxine’s family was most important to her and she enjoyed spending time with her children Delmon Ray (Marilyn) Cleaver, Tina (Richard) Campbell, Tracy Cleaver, Dreama (Jim Bussey) Cleaver and grandchildren, Sean Campbell and Chase Cleaver. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three sisters and their husbands, Betty (Dick) Bond, Mary (Jack) Robb, and Inez (Boyd) Hall, she is survived by her brothers Jim (Jeannine) Murphy and Bob (Tommye) Murphy and her sister Louise Seletyn, and many nieces and nephews. Her life was full of music, singing, her kitties, and love. She always took pride in her work and shared fond memories of living on the Murphy farm at Piedmont Lake. Her family would like to thank Green Hills Community and Daybreak staff for their wonderful care and comfort they provided.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 9, 2022, from 11:00 - 12:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 12 p.m., at SCHOEDINGER NORTH, 5554 Karl Rd, Columbus, OH 43229. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memory Gardens in Westerville, OH.
