Dennis Lee “Junior” Craig, age 50, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, passed away on Wednesday, February 18, surrounded by loved ones. Born on June 12, 1975, in Carrollton, Georgia, Junior was the son of Dennis Lee “DL” Craig Sr. and the late Beverly Ann Craig.
Throughout his life, Junior was a devoted and loving son and a loyal friend. His kindness, gentle spirit, and steady presence touched everyone who knew him. Junior had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.
Junior dedicated 30 years of his life to his career as a pipe welder and ironworker, working for PPM at New Indy Paper Products (formerly Bowater), where he was known for his strong work ethic and dependability.
Junior is survived by his father, Dennis “DL” Craig, and his wife, Patricia Craig; his brother, Gary Hunter; his sisters, Amy (Crockett) Hammond, Tiffany Brown (Robbie Frock), and Joni (Tyler) Timmons; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his favorite aunt, Kay Bradley, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverly Ann Craig, and his uncle, Conrad Craig.
A Celebration Of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 21, at 3:00pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732. The family will receive visitors prior from 2:00pm – 2:45 pm. A private inurnment will be held with the family at a later time.
Junior will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his quiet strength, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for his family.
