Derrick Dion "Nuke" Barber

Derrick D. Barber (Nuke) was born on May 17, 1996 in Charlotte, NC to Lisa Danzy and Derrick Lemorris Barber. He departed this life on July 15, 2021 in Charlotte, NC.
He was raised up and under his Great Grandmother, Dorothy Mae Lowery Mungo, whom taught all of her children and grandchildren about accepting God, Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour, Amen. He graduated from Butler High School in 2015 and was a very hard working young man. He was preceded in death by both his grandfathers.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory; his mother, Lisa Danzy and father, Derrick Lemorris Barber; his Grandmothers, Dorothy M. Lowery Mungo, Mona Lisa Danzy and Loretta Barber; two brothers, Tristian T. Gilmore and Kenneth R. Crouch of Charlotte, NC. He also leaves behind his girlfriend, Kenijah Jones and soon to be born baby girl, along with four Uncles and five Aunts from Charlotte, NC and New York as well as a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and millions of friends that loved him.
Funeral Services will be held at Kings Funeral Home on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 12:00 PM with a visitation beginning one hour prior to service. Burial will immediately follow at Sunset Memory Gardens 8901 Lawyers Road Charlotte, NC 28227 in the Garden of the Good Shepherd II Section.
