Dolores Frye

Dolores M. “Dori” (Plowman) Frye, 87, of Irwin, died Thursday, September 26, 2024. She was born July 10, 1937 in North Huntingdon, a daughter of the late Orrin and Anna (Nichols) Plowman and was also preceded in death by her husband Gerald W. “Jerry” Frye and siblings Leroy Plowman, Lillian Clinebell, and Ellen Confer. Dori was a former physical therapy nurse’s aide at various hospitals. She was a member of the Herminie Center for Active Adults and enjoyed painting. She is survived by her children Scott Frye of North Huntingdon and Kathy (Ron) Wessel of Murrysville; her grandchildren Dustin Frye, Dane Frye, Sara Wessel, and Holly Byrnes her great grandchildren Emma, Caleb, Liam, Mila, and Dylynn; also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, September 30, at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.
