Dolores P. Shoemaker
April 30, 1931 - October 17, 2022 (Age 91)
Dolores P. Shoemaker, 91, of Raystown Road, Everett, PA; passed away on Monday, October 17, 2022 at ProMedica Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, Bedford. She was born on April 30, 1931 in Rainsburg, PA; a daughter of the late Archie J. “Jack” and Mildred (Rawlings) Pennel. On October 6, 1951 in LaVale, MD; she was united in marriage to Clyde C. Shoemaker.
Along with her loving husband of seventy-one years she is survived by a sister-in-law Nancy Pennel and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by siblings Kathleen Mearkle, James Pennel and Francis Pennel.
Dolores was a member of Tatesville United Methodist Church. She served as Past Matron of the Saxton Chapter No. 161 Order of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. Shoemaker enjoyed crafting. She was a graduate of Bedford High School Class of 1950.
Friends and Family will be received on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service at the Akers Funeral Home, Inc., 299 Raystown Road, Everett, PA 15537.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. in the Chapel at Akers Funeral Home with Pastor Sue Detterline officiating.
Burial will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
