Dolores Thomas

Dolores "Dee" Snyder Thomas (82) of Greensburg passed away on January 3, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her mother , Rose Deluca Snyder, her father , H. Curtis Snyder, her husband , Lynn H. Thomas, best friend - Mary Lehman, and beloved adopted pets - Bruce and Sugar. She is survived by her daughter -Lynne "Cricket" Rizzo (Jim), her son - Lee Thomas, grandson - Nicholas Rizzo and his girlfriend - Julia Poyer, grandson - Logan Thomas, her brother - Richard A. Snyder (Twila), sister-in-law – Carole Gallentine (Jerry), best friend – Bev Anderson, several nieces and nephews, and many cousins. Dee was a 1957 Ramsay H.S. honor graduate. She was employed at Bell Telephone accounting 1957-1965, and Howell's Heating and Air Conditioning 1977-2001 which she co-owned with her husband. Volunteering was central throughout Dee's life. She was a Girl Scout leader, taught reading to adults through the Greensburg Hempfield Library, was a member of the Mount Pleasant Area Historical Society for which she was a past secretary, and was a volunteer at Excela Health Frick Hospital serving over 5,000 hours. Dee loved spending time with her family (especially with her grandsons who called her "Byu"), eating good food, laughing, gardening. and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers. She will be greatly missed! Family and friends will be received from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2023 at Brooks Funeral Home, Inc. 406 East Washington Street, Mount Pleasant, PA 15666. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Saturday, January 7,2023 with the Rev. Eric Raygor officiating.at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Westmoreland County Memorial Park.
