Donald E. Hayes, 76 of Zanesville, passed away on September 18, 2022 at Genesis Hospital.
He was born on June 20, 1946, in Zanesville, Ohio, son of the late Harry D. Hayes and Jennie Marie (Elmore) Hayes. Don was a veteran of the Army and later worked and retired from McGraw Edison as a Coil Winder. In his spare time, he enjoyed his Bud Light, doing yardwork, and reading his books. His family and friends always knew Don to be a jokester.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Tammy Hayes; son, Brian Hayes; daughters, Chasity (Timmy) Wilson, Marilyn Dawn Luckett; brother, John Hayes; 6 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; special dog, Hope’.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his special dogs, Ginger, TC, Spencer, and Penny.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Zanesville Memorial Park, Zanesville.
