Doris Ann Clever

Doris Ann Clever, 91 of Zanesville died at 1:57 PM Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the Clay Gardens Assisted Living following a lengthy illness.
She was born December 26, 1929 in Mt. Vernon, Ohio the daughter of Fred Dean McDowell and Blanche Gertrude Crawford.
Up until her retirement, Doris, at the age of 82 was owner & operator of Clever's Towing Service.
She is survived by her three children; Karen Clever, Jim (Debbie Evans) Clever, and Nancy Clever; a daughter-in-law, Loretta Clever; grandchildren, Lisa Clever, Amy (Chris) Caldwell, Lori (Jeff Paynter) Clever, Nicole Clever, Myka Todd, Chad Todd, Cody Todd; numerous great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews and many friends.
In addition to her parents, Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Raymond Clever; a son, Raymond Clever; a brother John McDowell and sister-in-law, Lee McDowell.
Visitation will be held from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 with funeral service to follow at 3:30 PM at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home. Burial will conclude at the Zanesville Memorial Park.
