Doris James, 76, of Hollidaysburg, PA, passed away on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at home. She was born on June 09, 1950 in Bedford, PA; a daughter of the late Dale and Iva James.
She is survived by her children Tabethea James, Everett, PA and Michael James married to Mindy James, Altoona, PA; grandchildren Devin McMullen, Gallitzin, PA, Delaney McMullen, Gallitzin, PA and Shaely James, Glenside, PA; brothers Terry James, Everett, PA and Dennis James, Everett, PA.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by nieces Robin James and Tracy James and a sister-in-law Maryjane James.
Doris was a graduate of Bedford High School. Following graduation, she pursued her passion for hospitality, becoming best of the best in the food service and catering industry. Her culinary talents brought joy to countless events and gatherings throughout her career.
In her spare time, Doris lived life to the fullest. She loved traveling, cooking and engaging in political debates. Above all else, she cherished spending time with her family and friends. Doris meant the absolute world to her children and her extended family. Doris was a true friend to everyone she met. She was a remarkably generous person who was always willing to help others, never hesitating to lend a hand to someone in need. Her kindness, spirit, and vibrant presence will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Services to be held privately. Interment to be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
