Doris Stokes Reynolds, 96, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2022 at Asbury Health and Rehabilitation Center in Charlotte.
Born on May 10, 1926, she was the daughter of Palmer Dixon Stokes and Stella Adeline Hall. Mrs. Reynolds was a loving wife to and predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Norman Reynolds, sister Jean Lily (Edd), and brother Dick Stokes (Mattie).
Surviving her are 3 children, Dennis Reynolds (Donna), Nancy Hancock (Rick), and Carla Mellon (Darrell). Also, 3 grandchildren, Ashley Reynolds, David Reynolds and Cameron Mellon (Meghan), and many nieces and nephews.
She was a loving mother, excellent cook & homemaker, enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, and most of all her family. Mint Hill has been the family home since 1957.
The Reynolds family offers their loving gratitude to the caring nursing staff at Asbury Health and Rehabilitation Center. From Miss Doris, “Thank You”.
There will be a graveside service conducted by Mr. Dwain Watson at Sunset Memory Gardens in Mint Hill at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 27, 2022. The family will receive friends at the graveside, following the service.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the Hospice of your choice or Asbury Health and Rehabilitation Center.
