Dorothy A. Carbone

Dorothy A. Carbone, 84, of Irwin, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 3, 2023, at her home surround by her family. She was born Sept. 18, 1938, in Wendel, daughter of the late Edward and Madeline (Horwatt) Medved. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant brother, Eddie, and brother, Steve Medved. She is also preceded in death by her beloved dog, Brutus, who was her buddy. Dorothy was a beautician for 40 years. She enjoyed watching cowboy movies and re-runs of old TV shows. Dorothy is survived by her two sons, James Carbone, of Wendel, and Vincent (Tracy) Carbone, of Jeannette; grandson, Vinnie (Crystal) Carbone Jr., and great-granddaughter, Mia; and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. The family would like to thank Three Rivers Hospice and RN Rachel for all their love and support. Private entombment per Dorothy's wishes will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. JOSEPH W.
