At an early age, Dorothy joined Mt. Prospect Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful member throughout her life. Dorothy was a member of Rose of Sharon Order of the Eastern Star #30, serving as Esther.

She was also a Charter Member of the Delta Xi Zeta Amicae of Rock Hill, where she served as the second president and treasurer. Her dedication to service and her love for the organization and its youth were evident throughout her years of involvement.

Dorothy enjoyed crafting, spending time with family and friends, and watching football.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving and devoted niece, Annie Orr (Carlos); brother, Reverend Charles Robinson (Gertrude); great-nieces, Shaun Holley, Natasha Holley, and Arielle Orr; and great-nephews, Tommy McMullen and Anthony Holley.
