Dorothy Mary Inogen (O’Baker) Heather, 79 of Lakewood Ranch, FL went home to be with Jesus on Friday, August 13, 2021.
Nicknamed “Dobie” she was born on October 10, 1941, in Cumberland, MD. She was one of fourteen siblings born to Alfred F. O’Baker and Dorothy M. (Dunn) O’Baker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Mac Heather, Jr.
Dobie was a graduate of Allegany High School class of 1959 as well as a Catherine Business graduate. She was employed as a travel reservation agent for the Kelly Springfield Tire Company in Akron, Ohio. There she met the love of her life of 49 years, Richard Mac Heather, Jr. After retiring as an agent Dobie and Mac opened a boutique called Pappagallo in Hudson, Ohio.
Dobie enjoyed traveling, decorating, shopping and all types of music.
She is survived by her sister, Sharon Musselwhite and her two sons, Roy Jr and Joshua Musselwhite, Niece, Jamie Rice and her children, Elizabeth Perdue and Jesse Rice III and several other nieces and nephews. Special appreciation to Judy Miller, LeAnna Lehman and Stephen Rodeheaver for their years of friendship.
Now the life-long couple will have a joint funeral service to be held at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Hwy SW, Cresaptown, on Sunday, August 22, 2021. Viewing 1-3pm with services to begin at 3pm. Pastor Denny Michael officiating.
Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
