Dorothy Panichella

Dorothy “Dot” Errett Panichella,89, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully, Sunday, February 18, 2024, in Westmoreland Manor, Greensburg. She was born June 2, 1934, in Greensburg, to the late George and Laura (Bender) Errett. She was a graduate of Greensburg High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and best friend, Joseph Panichella, with whom she longed to be reunited with; two nieces, Joyce, and Chrissy; a nephew, Kevin; and one great-nephew, Noah. Dot enjoyed being with friends and family and was always thrilled to receive pictures of her many nieces and nephews and hearing what was going on with them. She had a special place in her heart for all children. She had a liking of Dove Chocolate (it had to be dark chocolate). You would always see an open bag wherever she was. Her good friend, Diane, always kept her supplied when she visited Dot. Dot is survived by her brother, Jim (Tres) Errett; nieces, Kimm (Craig), Anita (Brian), Lisa (Joel), Ginny (Jamie), Linda (James), and Barb; nephews, Kris, Jon (Deb) and children, Mark (Dana) and children, and Dave; great-nieces, Chelsea, Angela (Bryan), Lindsay (Josh), and Evie; great-nephews, Sawyer and Dylan; great great-nieces, Margaret and Elle; a sister-in-law, Lucille; and three cousins, Bob Bender (Janice), Jack Bender and Carol Setny. Friends will be received from 2 to 6 PM Wednesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A funeral liturgy will be celebrated Thursday at 11 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Greensburg.
