Douglas M. Cureton

Douglas "Duck" McArthur Cureton was born March 1, 1942 to the late Phoenix and Sadie Strain-Cureton. He departed this life on January 25, 2026. Douglas was born and raised in Charlotte, NC. He attended Second Ward High School. After high school Douglas married his loving wife, Margie Jacobs.
Douglas worked at Hobart Smith as a truck driver for many years before embarking on a new journey as a Maintenance Technician at Summit Properties, where he served for 20 years.
Douglas was preceded in death by his parents, Phoenix Cureton and Sadie Strain-Cureton; brothers, Arthur Lee Cureton, Lewis Henry Adams, and Jesse Cureton and a sister, Flonnie Graves.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories; wife Margie Cureton; sons, Andre Cureton (Regina). Darrell Cureton and Antonio Cureton; daughters, Marilyn Hill and Jackie Cureton; special god-son, Douglas Sturdivant (Carmeel); bonus sister, Pamela Hudson; grandchildren, Damien Hill, Adrian Brown, Kentorius Brown (Anthony), Kent Little (Shantel), Alanah Hager (JD), Amiya Cureton and Antonio Cureton Jr.; great grandsons, Ayden Brown, Adrian Brown Jr., Kent Little III and Amari Brown; great grand-daughter, Tiara Jenkins and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great grandchildren, cousins and friends.
