Duayne A. Bowser

October 16, 1939 - November 19, 2025 (Age 86)

Wellersburg, PA– Duayne Aldon Bowser, 86, of Wellersburg, PA, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at his home.

Born October 16, 1939, in West St. Claire Twp, Bedford County, PA, Mr. Bowser was the son of the late Lewis R. Bowser and Irene E. (Callihan) Bowser. He was also preceded in death by his in-laws: Earl and Pete Boor; his sister: Neva Carlson; and his daughter-in-law: Patty Bowser.

Duayne was a Graduate of Windber High School, Class of 1957, and retired from Honeywell, Inc. with 30 years of service. He was a Staff Sgt. in the United States Air Force from 1958-1966. Duayne was a member of the Zion Community Church, Wellersburg, PA, and the Mason Dixon Lions Club. He loved golfing, playing ping pong, and spending winters in Florida with his wife Connie. Duayne was an avid Penn State and Cleveland Browns fan.

Duayne is survived by his wife of 35 years: Connie (Boor) Bowser; his children: D. David Bowser (Fran), Dawn D. McKenney (Bobby), Daniel D. Bowser (Angela), Bryan Morris (Denise), and Carrie Witt (Jamie); his brother: Jim Bowser (Nancy); and his grandchildren: Andy Morris, Tanner McKenney, Tiffani Morris, Mellani Morris, Mikaela Deneen, Haleigh (Deneen) Dwire, Devin and Ariana Bowser; as well as nine great grandchildren, several nieces, and a nephew.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 11:00 A.M., with Pastor Ken Korns officiating.

Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the VVA Chapter #172 Color Guard.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Zion Community Church, 14963 Main Street, Wellersburg, PA 15564, in Duayne’s memory.
