Dwight Clark Blackstone

Dwight Clark Blackstone, 88, of Zanesville, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2021.
He was born on July 11, 1933 in New Concord, son of the late Reed Matthew Blackstone and Inza E. Patterson. Dwight was a veteran of the Army, serving from 1958-1962 and by trade he worked at Grief Brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ursula Bender Blackstone; daughters, Linda (Rick) Schmidt, Gloria (Gary) Bailey; grandchildren, Kristen (Matt) Pempin, Andrew (Brandy) Schmidt, Emily Schmidt, Greg (Jackie) Bailey, Jacob Bailey; great-grandchildren, Madyson, Lilia and Mason Pempin, Nora Bailey.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Irene Scott and Margaret Jane Blackstone; brothers, Lemuel Vernon Jr., James Blackstone.
A memorial service to honor the life of Dwight will be held Friday July 23, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home, where services will take place at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the United States Army in conjunction with the VFW George Selsam Post 1058 and American Legion Post 29.
DeLong-Baker & Lanning Funeral Home is assisting the Blackstone family with arrangements.
