E. Georgena Peirano

Edith Georgena Peirano, 96, passed away on February 9, 2026. She was born in Carroll, Ohio to George and Edith Dunkle on January 20, 1930.

Georgena attended Carroll High School and was in the class of 1947. She retired from JC Penney phone center after 20 years; she also worked at the election polls in Lithopolis for many years. She loved bingo, sewing, and crocheting, and her special joy was raising her dogs and cats. She was an inspiration to all she loved: loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Georgena is preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Robert Sr.; children, infant son Phillip, Linda, Larry, and Richard; son-in-law, Gene Horseman; and grandson, Craig Horseman.

She lives on in the memories of her children, Robert Jr. (Carol) Peirano, Judy Horseman, Sandy (Denny) Norris, Ed (Carolyn) Peirano, and she will be forever cherished by her grandchildren, Kim (Don) Harvey, Stephen (Marcy) Peirano, Erin (Eddie) Rapp, Craig (Stephanie) Velliquette, Alex Peirano, Sam (Sarah) Peirano and her 18 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Jade & the staff at the Inn at Winchester Trails, Capital City Hospice and Mt. Carmel East for all their loving care.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, February 16, 2026, from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 650 W Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110. A funeral service will be held the following day Tuesday, February 17, at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Franklin Hills Memory Garden, Lithopolis, OH.

In lieu of flowers, family asks that donations be made in Georgie’s memory to the Fairfield County Humane Society or the American Heart Association.
