Edith Marchetti

Edith “Edie” Marchetti, 94, of Jeannette, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at her residence. She was born September 26, 1931, in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Charles and Lena (Mautino) Marchetti. Prior to her retirement Edie worked in the banking industry and started in the Glass City Bank, Union National Bank, PNC Bank, all of Jeannette, and the PNC Branches in Harrison City and Murrysville. She was a life member of the Ascension Church Jeannette, where she served as a CCD teacher, and served on both the church council, and the churches finance council, and was a longtime volunteer at the former Jeannette District Memorial Hospital.

In addition to her parents Edie was predeceased by sisters Rita Dodds, and June Smith; and a nephew Scott Dodds.

She is survived by a nephew Clifford Dodds (Marianne), of OH; great nephews Sean Michael Dodds, and Bryan Walch (Jen); and a niece-in-law Terri Dodds; her caregivers, Jen Smith (Chris), Kathy Solecchio, Taya “Kaya” Scheall, and Yvonne Wilson.

Edie's family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the Amedisys Hospice nurses and staff for all of their kind and compassionate care.

Friends will be received 9 to 10:30am Monday, January 5, 2026, in the John V. Graziano Funeral Home Inc., 228 North 2nd St. Jeannette. A funeral mass will take place 11:00am Monday in the Ascension Church with Fr. Job Foote, OSB, as celebrant. Interment will take place in the Westmoreland Co. Memorial Park, Hempfield Twp. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ascension Memorial Fund, 615 Division St. Jeannette Pa., 15644.
