Edward Breedlove
May 20, 1937 - October 21, 2024 (Age 87)
On the morning of October 21, 2024, EDWARD G. BREEDLOVE, 87, went home to be with our Lord to rejoice and reunite with beloved family members. His mother, Queen Victoria Strange Breedlove; his father, James Edward Breedlove; as well as his sisters, Theresa Breedlove Sherield and Flora Breedlove Carter awaited and greeted him on that great gettin' up morning.
Edward was a life-long resident of Donora, being baptized as a child at First Baptist Church, Donora, PA, where he was later honored and humbly accepted a 2007 "Stars In Our Midst" award. Upon graduation from Donora High School in 1956, Edward became a career military man and served honorably as a decorated military policeman in the United States Air Force until his retirement in August 1976. He often shared joyful stories of varied experiences amplified by his unique, infectious giggle, proclaiming that he had no regrets.
Surviving hearts include his loyal, steadfast, elder brother, James W. (Alice) Breedlove of Dallas, TX; nieces, Rhonda Breedlove of Mesa, AZ, Victoria Carter of Inglewood, CA, Peggy Sherield of Brooklyn, NY and Anita Towler Burton of Donora, PA; blended family surviving hearts of love include, Rev. Craig (Ronita) Giles of Pittsburgh, PA, Chanae (Joseph) Grigsby of Baltimore, MD, Brandon James of London, England, Questa Giles of Locust Grove, GA; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be missed by his many friends and associates. Yet we take comfort in knowing he is at peace - reunited with loved ones in Heaven.
.... fare thee well; fare thee well Eddie!
