Edward Kowalski

Edward “Ed” Kowalski, age 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Casimir and Mary (Pochiba) Kowalski.

Ed is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Margaret “Peggy” Kowalski; his children, Peggy (Paul) Kadel, Edward “Eddie” (Bella) Kowalski, and Angela (Andy) Bullock; and his cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn Murfitt, Nick Murfitt, Matthew Kadel, Kalie (Codi) Kowalski, Amber Kowalski, Ashlin (Chandler Williams) Bullock, and Andrik Bullock. He is also survived by his siblings, Tom (Lisa) Kowalski and Cindy (Bob) Ferry; sister-in-law, Barbara Jones; and brother-in-law, Leon (Bonnie) Hrincevich.

Ed retired from Bell Laboratories/Lucent Technologies after 40 years of dedicated service. He was a proud graduate of THE Ohio State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with honors.

He found great joy in being a ham radio operator, playing tennis, gardening, visiting national parks, camping, and fishing at the Outer Banks with his family and friends. Ed was an avid fan of THE Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Above all, he loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren, who were the center of his life.

Family and friends may call on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Schoedinger Grove City, where a funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.

Ed will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
