Elizabeth Jane Gomez

Elizabeth Jane Gomez, age 35 was born on Monday, August 28, 1989 in Monroe, North Carolina to Cirilo Melchor Gomez and Barbara Trull. She passed away peacefully on March 13, 2025 in El Paso, Texas while surrounded by her loving family.

Elizabeth was a free spirit who flew as high as she wanted but was never too far that she couldn't help those who needed her. She had a way of making you feel that you were the only one in her life at the moment you engaged with her. Her family was her life support and she was fiercely protective of them all. Her husband and children never had to wonder if she loved them because she made it her life's mission to show them how much she loved them daily. She loved family functions where there was dancing and music. She loved cooking and crafting. She would go way out of her way for a great deal. Not a day went by that she did not call her mother and her brothers and sisters were more than just siblings to her, they were her best friends in life.

She is preceded in death by her father, Cirilo Melchor Gomez Sr and her beloved grandparents Charles D Trull Sr, Joyce D Trull, Francisco Melchor and Consuelo Gomez. Left to cherish her memory is a very large family that will feel her loss for many years to come. She is survived by her husband, Josue Diaz; her children, Bradley, Lily, Josue Jr., and Laila; her mother Barbara Trull; her brothers and sisters, Consuelo(Raymundo), Teresa(Jason), Crystal, Ana(Agapito), Jose(Kellie), Cirilo(Angela), Perla, and Jaydn; and her many nieces and nephews, Brandon(Sandi), Mackenzie, Joscelin, Isabella, David, Chandler, Haylee, Alexa, Caroline, Kaeleigh, Keaton, Giovanni, Sebastian, and Fiabola. She is also leaving her extended family which include her In-Laws: Jose Abel and Carmen, brothers/sisters in law: Salvador (Rocio), Lorena (Jose Luis), Ana (Luis), Guadalupe (Carlos), Angelica (Luis Fernando) and Juan Carlos (Dalila). Finally her beloved nieces/nephews: Salvador, Lizbeth, Diego, Miguel Angel, Cristo Fer, Luis Alberto, Diana, Jacob, Luis, Carlos, Jimena, Jorge Luis, David, Luis Angel, Citlali, Yari, and Matias Angel.

Services for Elizabeth will take place on Saturday, March 22, 2025 starting with a public visitation at 11:00-11:45 am and a funeral service following at 12:00 pm at the Lee Park Church located at 2491 Morgan Mill Rd, Monroe, NC 28110. Interment will follow starting at 2:00 pm at Sunset Memory Gardens locate at 8901 Lawyers Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227. There will not be a formal funeral procession, but guests are asked to meet the family at the cemetery by 2:00 pm. We ask that you do not park in front of the gravesite or block the roads leading to the gravesite as to not hinder the funeral home from being able to getting in and setting things up for the services.
