Elmer J. Trombley Jr., age 85, of Mount Vernon, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2022, at his home surrounded by family.
He was born on January 1, 1938, in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan to the late Elmer Trombley Sr. and Cecilia Bergeron Trombley.
Elmer served six years in Army National Guard.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Beverly M. (Wright) Trombley; eight sons, Kevin (Eileen) Trombley, Tim (Jane) Trombley, Scott Trombley, Sean (Betsy) Trombley, Tom (Melissa) Trombley, Eric (Melissa) Trombley, Paul (Andrea) Trombley, Matt Trombley; three daughters, Tammy (Steve) Lynch, Katie (Ryan) Brown and Sara (Craig) Randall; along with a total of 79 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bryan Trombley; four sisters, Tessie Lane, Barbara Shockley, Darlene Carson, infant sister Lois Elizabeth; and a granddaughter, Rachel Michelle.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Rd. in Mount Vernon. Funeral services will be on Friday – 10:00 AM at the funeral home with Deacon Tim Birie officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens in Westerville.
