Emilia Tomassini
April 5, 1930 – January 31, 2026 (Age 95)
Emilia Tomassini, conocida cariñosamente como “Millita,” fue una mujer de fe extraordinaria, fortaleza y entrega total a Dios y a los demás. Virtuosa, amable, empática y de corazón inmenso, Emilia vivió una vida marcada por la fidelidad, el servicio y el amor genuino hacia su familia, su iglesia y el Reino de Dios.
Nacida en Cayey, Puerto Rico. Desde niña aprendió el valor del trabajo arduo para ayudar a su familia. Aunque era pequeña de estatura, era conocida por ser fuerte, valiente y astuta. No tuvo la oportunidad de asistir a la escuela, pero con esfuerzo y la gracia de Dios aprendió a leer y escribir escuchando a maestras desde fuera de las aulas y a personas leer el periódico en su comunidad. Dios le concedió los más altos honores en lo que ella llamaba “la escuela de la vida.”
Aunque no nació en el evangelio, siempre vivió con temor de Dios y reconoció Su protección durante su niñez y juventud. A los 16 años, en un servicio en Canóvanas, escuchó el mensaje de salvación que transformó su vida. Desde ese momento, dedicó más de ocho décadas a amar y servir al Señor y a las almas.
En un tiempo de grave enfermedad, Emilia hizo un pacto con Dios: si Él le permitía vivir para criar a sus hijos, ella dedicaría el resto de su vida a Su Reino. Dios respondió a su oración, y ella cumplió fielmente esa promesa hasta el final.
Fue madre de 12 hijos, Lucy Coniciello, Pete (Yolie) Crespo, Jose (Elsie) Crespo, Carmen (Nino) Gonzalez, Miguel Crespo, Neida Crespo, Ana (Dominick) Gallardo, Naomi (Ramon) Addison, Emily Crespo (Obi), Raymond (Madeline) Crespo, Edwin Crespo, Josue (Quinn) Crespo, abuela de 20 nietos, bisabuela de 31 bisnietos y tatarabuela de 6 tataranietos. Su mayor propósito siempre fue ganar almas para Cristo. Consejera sabia y compasiva, hablaba desde la experiencia vivida. A pesar de las dificultades, nunca se dio por vencida; confió en Dios y lo alabó en todo tiempo.
Dios honró su fidelidad permitiéndole graduarse del Instituto Bíblico de las Asambleas de Dios, donde fue reconocida como la graduada con los más altos honores de su promoción. Su pasión por las misiones la llevó a compartir el mensaje de salvación en Colombia, Guatemala, Ecuador, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras, Panamá, República Dominicana y Venezuela, donde también predicó el mensaje de clausura en una Convención Nacional.
Miembro fiel de la Iglesia Puerta de Refugio por más de 38 años, sirvió como maestra del Instituto Bíblico, líder de damas, líder de misiones, diaconisa, maestra de niños, anciana de la iglesia y Co-Pastora junto al Rev. Gilberto González. Hasta años recientes continuó sirviendo en liderazgo, incluyendo su labor en misiones del Circuito del Valle Delaware y como presidenta de la Asociación de Damas del Valle Delaware por más de diez años.
La Biblia fue uno de sus mayores tesoros. Su versículo favorito, Salmo 27:1, guió su vida:
“Jehová es mi luz y mi salvación; ¿de quién temeré? Jehová es la fortaleza de mi vida; ¿de quién he de atemorizarme?”
La vida de Emilia “Millita” Tomassini fue un testimonio vivo de fe, perseverancia y fidelidad a Dios. Su legado permanece en las vidas que tocó, las almas que llevó a Cristo y el ejemplo de fe que dejó para todos.
Familiares y amigos están invitados a asistir al servicio funerario de Emilia en The Groffs Family Funeral Home, 528 W. Orange Street, Lancaster, PA, el sábado 7 de febrero de 2026 a las 11:00 a.m. Se celebrará una velatoria desde las 10:00 a.m. hasta la hora del servicio. El entierro tendrá lugar después en el Conestoga Memorial Park.

Emilia Tomassini, lovingly known as “Millita,” was a woman of extraordinary faith, strength, and wholehearted devotion to God and others. Virtuous, kind, empathetic, and warm-hearted, Emilia lived a life marked by faithfulness, service, and genuine love for her family, her church, and the Kingdom of God.
She was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico. From a young age, she learned the value of hard work as she helped support her family. Though small in stature, she was known for her courage, strength, and wisdom. Sitting outside the school window, she listened to the teacher’s lessons, and by hearing others read the newspaper, she taught herself how to read. God granted her the highest honors in what she often called “the school of life.”
Although she was not born into the gospel, she always lived with a reverent fear of God and recognized His protection throughout her childhood and youth. At the age of 16, during a church service in Canóvanas, she heard the message of salvation that transformed her life. From that moment on, she dedicated more than eight decades to loving and serving the Lord and ministering to souls.
During a time of severe illness, Emilia made a sacred promise to God: if He allowed her to live to raise her children, she would devote the rest of her life to His Kingdom. God answered her prayer, and she faithfully fulfilled that promise until the end of her life.
She was the devoted mother of 12 children Lucy Conicello, Pete (Yolie) Crespo, Jose (Elsie) Crespo, Carmen (Nino) Gonzalez, Miguel Crespo, Neida Crespo, Ana (Dominick) Gallardo, Naomi (Ramon) Addison, Emily Crespo (Obi), Raymond (Madeline)Crespo, Edwin Crespo, Josue (Quinn) Crespo, grandmother of 20 grandchildren, great-grandmother of 31 great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandmother of 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded by death by her parents, her husband, Victor Tomassini, first husband, Ramon Crespo, and two grandchildren, Jose Crespo II, and Stephen Conicello.
Her greatest purpose was always to win souls for Christ. A wise and compassionate counselor, she spoke from lived experience. Despite many hardships, she never gave up; she trusted God and praised Him at all times.
God honored her faithfulness by allowing her to graduate from the Assemblies of God Biblical Institute, where she was recognized as the highest honor graduate of her class. Her passion for missions led her to share the message of salvation in Colombia, Guatemala, Ecuador, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras, Panama, the Dominican Republic, and Venezuela, where she also delivered the closing message at a National Convention.
A faithful member of Puerta de Refugio Church for more than 38 years, she served as a Biblical Institute teacher, women’s ministry leader, missions leader, deaconess, children’s teacher, church elder, and Co-Pastor alongside Rev. Gilberto González. Until recent years, she continued serving in leadership, including missions work in the Delaware Valley Circuit and more than ten years as president of the Delaware Valley Ladies Association.
The Bible was one of her greatest treasures. Her favorite verse, Psalm 27:1, guided her life:“The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?”
The life of Emilia “Millita” Tomassini stands as a living testimony of faith, perseverance, and faithfulness to God. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched, the souls she led to Christ, and the example of faith she leaves behind.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Emilia's Funeral Service at The Groffs Family Funeral Home, 528 W. Orange Street, Lancaster, PA, on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Conestoga Memorial Park.
