Everett C. West CONCORD - Everett C. West, 89, of Concord, NC, passed away Sunday morning, June 12, 2016. A memorial service will be held Monday June 20, at Grace Church PCA, 2007 Stallings Rd., Harrisburg, NC, where he was a charter member. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 3:45 pm followed by a service at 4:00. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Betty West, sisters Charlotte Miller and Armedia Moses, son Vic West and wife Deb, daughter Linda Whitehurst and husband Bobby, son Frank West and wife Vicki, son Johnny West and wife Rachel, and son Grady West, seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Everett was a WWII veteran, a retired truck driver and member of The Million Mile Club being accident free that long, and a Mason dedicated to the Oxford Children's Home. In lieu of flowers a memorial in his name may be made to the Masonic Home for Children at Oxford (mhc-oxford.org) or Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County (hpccc.org).
