Floyd M. Komaromy

Floyd M. Komaromy, 85, of Zanesville passed at 3:10 A.M., Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at his home.
He was born on Saturday, November 20, 1937, in Deavertown, Morgan County, Ohio, the son of the late
Andrew Komaromy and Frances Bujaki Komaromy.
Floyd was a 1957 graduate of York High School in Deavertown, Ohio, where he was valedictorian of his class. He was a U.S. Army veteran, and throughout his career worked at Ohio Ferro Alloy, West Muskingum Schools, and AEP Conesville.
Floyd and his wife Dixie were married for 58 years and had a wonderful life together. They were fans of country music and enjoyed attending concerts together. Floyd was an avid and enthusiastic collector of antiques and loved going to auctions. He liked to travel with his family. His favorite destination was Virginia Beach, Virginia, where he could relax and enjoy the beach and sunshine. When at home, the birds he fed and watched in his back yard brought him tremendous joy. His comforting smile and positive approach to life will be missed by all.
Floyd was a loving and loyal husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Dixie Komaromy; two sons, Andy (Debbie) Komaromy and Jeff Komaromy; grandchildren Allison Komaromy and Zach (Shannon) Komaromy; two great grandchildren, Addison and Grayson Komaromy; sister-in-law Jean Campbell; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by three brothers, Andrew (Nina) Komaromy, Louis B. (Donna) Komaromy, and Bill (Ina Mae) Komaromy; four sisters, Margaret (Albert) Risko, Ethel (Paul) Gorsky, Helen (Don) Paxton, and Madeline Komaromy; and brother-in-law William Cummins.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at the Bryan & Hardwick Funeral Home where funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Joy Wigal officiating.
