Frances Elaine Logsdon
December 10, 1947 - January 25, 2022 (Age 74)
Elaine Logsdon born December 10, 1947, to the late Francis and Alice Scott Mast in Salem, Oregon, passed away in Charlotte, North Carolina on January 25, 2022. She is also predeceased by her sister Sharon Mast Hembree.
Elaine is survived by her devoted husband Rev. David Logsdon, her five dedicated daughters, loving son and adored daughter-in-law, along with cousins, uncles, and a multitude of friends and young people whose lives she has touched over the years.
Elaine was known for having a big heart, mischievous humor, a ready smile with a twinkle in her eyes. She was tenacious, always loving, and possessed no limits to her strength. Attending Conquerors Bible College, Elaine met the love of her life and married August 17,1968. Elaine devoted her life as a mother and loyal wife who gave her heart as First Lady at The Lighthouse United Pentecostal Church in Seaside, Oregon. Her passions involved her art, gardening, flower arranging, sewing, canning and gaming. Elaine had an intense love for God that started in her youth, and only intensified as the years passed. You would often hear her say "I don't know how I could do life without God." She had a strong passion for children and dreamed of opening a home for troubled youth. Her ministry moved to the multitude of young people who came into her life, finding strength and confidence from her love. The legacy that she leaves behind, she never fully comprehended the depths that it reached. Though she will be forever missed, she will live on in each life that she has touched. And if she could say one thing today.
"Facing storms isn't easy, still the anchor holds."
