Frances Patterson

Rock Hill, SC – Frances M. Patterson, 89, peacefully passed away on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at her home.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm-3:00 pm on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC. Immediately after the visitation, we will proceed to Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road, 620 S. Cherry Road, Rock Hill for a Graveside Service. Rev. Jerry Devinney will be officiating.
Born in Whitmire, SC, Mrs. Patterson was the daughter of the late Robert W. McElwee and the late Mildred Proctor McElwee. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James R. Patterson, her daughter, Beverly Renee Patterson, her sister, Janie Vinson, and her brother, Robert McElwee. She worked in the textile industry, employed by JP Stevens and Springs Industries. When her daughters were younger, she was an avid softball fan, making sure she was there to support them. In her free time, she enjoyed puzzles, coloring, and watching old classic movies. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Rock Hill.
Surviving are her daughter, Vicky Patterson of Rock Hill, SC and her wife, Theresa (T.C.) Catoe; several nieces and several nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Patterson’s name to Gentiva Hospice, 223 S. Herlong Ave, Ste. 120, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
