Francis L. Hough, Jr.

Francis L Hough Jr. (Sonny) of North Port, Florida sadly passed away

Wednesday, November 29, 2023. He was 82 years old.

He was born March 28, 1941 in Wadesboro, N.C., and was preceded

in death by his mother and father, Alice and Francis Hough; sister,

Sybil and her husband, Zeb Burnette; son, Mike Hough; and two

grandchildren, Bobby and Allie Salamone.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Shirley Tweed Hough; four

children, Angela (Tim) Barrett, Alice Salamone (David Castegnaro),

Sonya (Alan) Onken, Don (Laurie) Hough; eight grandchildren,

Hayden and Shane Hough, Calvin and Lauren Hough, Joey

Salamone, Mason and Emily Barrett, and Dakota Onken; one great

grandchild, Legion Bartusiak; and many nieces and nephews.

Sonny will always be remembered for his witty sense of humor, his

entertaining storytelling, and his amazing heart. He would do

anything for his family and brought a smile to the face of everyone

he met.

Family will receive friends from 11:00 until 12:00 pm on Friday,

December 8th, 2023 at Gaskins Funeral Home. A Graveside Service

and Burial will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens at 1:00 pm.
