Frank was born on September 6, 1939, in North Bessemer, PA, to the late Melvin and Margaret Remaley. He graduated from Oakmont High School in 1957, and was a catcher for the Tigers of the Hot Stove League in Oakmont. He also caddied at Oakmont Country club, and was an avid golfer in his younger days. Frank met his lifelong companion, Toni Kardos, while he was working at G.C. Murphy in Vandergrift. Frank and Toni married in June of 1960, and at the end of April, 1963, they welcomed their only child, Lou Ann. Frank started his working career with G.C. Murphy Company at 16, starting as a stock boy and worked his way up to being a buyer. When Murphy’s was bought out, he then went on to be an electronics Sales Representative for DB Sales Group. Frank was always there to organize his daughter and her Ward Drive friends' kickball games, rides, and give advice when needed. He always attended Mass on Sundays at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in North Huntingdon. Through the years, Frank enjoyed camping, weekends with his family at Moraine camp lands, traveling with his wife throughout the country, visiting casinos, as well as dog and horse racing tracks. One of Frank’s true passions was the Penns Woods Civic Association where he presided as president for many years being instrumental in making Penns Woods Civic Association a thing of pride for all Penns Woods residents. Frank was his grandson’s biggest fan. He traveled far and near to watch Dante play in countless baseball and hockey games. He was always there to offer advice, wisdom, and to cheer Dante to victory. Frank easily made friends, finding the best in everyone, and would always be there for any reason for his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Toni. Frank is survived by his daughter Lou Ann and her husband Greg Youhon of North Huntingdon, his grandson Dante and his wife, Melissa Youhon, siblings, Jerry Remaley (Judy) of Upper St. Clair, PA and Mary Ann Schavone (Lenny) of Jeannette, and many nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by family, friends and neighbors. Friends will be received at the JAMES W. SHIRLEY FUNERAL HOME, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon on Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
