Freddie Lee Moyer

Freddie Lee Moyer, 75, of Winding Ridge Road, Everett, PA; passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at UPMC Altoona Hospital. He was born on May 14, 1946 in Clearville, PA; son of the late Obed F. and Annie R. (Feaster) Moyer. On May 15, 1971 in Claysburg, PA he was united in marriage to the former Linda S. (Moses) Moyer.
Along with his wife he is survived by children Michele Moyer, Janelle Moyer, Sharon Moyer and SSgt Beth Basinger married to TSgt Stephen; grandchildren Trey, Jase and Layla; sisters Beulah Lepley, Edna Votral married to John, Connie Clark married to Graffious; and brother Junior Moyer.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by siblings Pauline Moyer, Bernie Moyer, Orville Moyer and Eugene Moyer.
Freddie was a 1965 Graduate of Everett Area High School. After high school he enlisted in the United States Army from 1965-1967. After the service he went on to work at Standard Register from 1968- 1990 and Kennametal from 1993 until his retirement in 2013. He also served and retired as a Sergeant in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard from 1991 to 2010. During his time in the National Guard, he was deployed from 2003-2004 to Kosovo for Operation Enduring Freedom as well as in 2005 to the Hurricane Katrina Relief Efforts. Freddie was an avid hunter, muscle car enthusiast, enjoyed camping, being in the outdoors, and spending time with his family.
Private burial will be held at Bedford County Memorial Park.
