Gary Fine
July 1, 1943 - May 21, 2024 (Age 80)
Gary L.. Fine, 80, of Monongahela, Forward Township, died Tuesday, May 21, 2024 in his home. He was born July 1, 1943 in Monongahela, the son of Frederick Eugene and Henrietta Lucille Pishney Fine.
Gary retired from US Steel Clairton Works with 33 years of employment. He enjoyed playing softball with several area leagues and hunting. Gary spent a lot of time vegetable gardening and canning, which he loved because it kept his family fed!
He is survived by two daughters, Debbie Mimidis of Jefferson Hills, Melissa (Matt) Toth of Elizabeth Township; seven grandchildren, Savannah (Matt) Murhammer, Felicia (Matt) Veith, Tommy Mimidis, Nina (Jacob) Epps, Julia Mimidis, Ashlee Toth, Sydney Toth; five great grandchildren, Zach, Madison, Ava, Lanna, and Myla; two brothers, Eugene Fine of Beltsville, Maryland, and David Fine of Avonmore.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian “Lee” Pancake Fine who died September 14, 2017.
Friends will be received on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Tim Green officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
