George A. Bigerton

October 4, 1933 - November 1, 2025 (Age 92)

George A. Bigerton, age 92, of Carroll, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, November 1, 2025. He was born on October 4, 1933, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Clarence A. Bigerton and Mary (Crabbs) Bigerton.

A proud graduate of Canal Winchester High School, after George went on to serve his country in the United States Navy. He later worked as a plumber for Bolenbaugh Hardware for 19 years and retired from Grant Hospital after 30 years of dedicated service. He was also a proud member of Moose Lodge #955 in Lancaster.

George was a devoted and faithful member of David’s United Church of Christ in Canal Winchester, where he found strength in his faith. His love for the Lord guided him throughout his life, and he now rests in the comfort of his Savior’s eternal embrace.

In addition to his parents, George has been joyfully reunited in Heaven with his beloved wife of 60 years, Marguerite Bigerton; his children, Terry Bigerton, George Bigerton Jr., and James Bigerton; and his siblings, John Bigerton, Glen Bigerton, Martha Bigerton, and Ann Bigerton.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Diane (Jeffrey) Palmer, Judy Bigerton, and Tina (Morris) Bruffett; sister, Agnes (Puggy) Bergeron 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends who will cherish his memory.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 2:00–4:00 PM and 6:00–8:00PM at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, Ohio 43110. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will follow at Franklin Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family asks that donations can be made to either Grant Hospital or Fairhope Hospice.
