George Throm
May 27, 1951 - October 8, 2025 (Age 74)
George Leah Throm, 74, of Kennesaw, GA, passed away on October 8th, 2025, at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta, Georgia. Born on May 27th, 1951, in Greensburg, he was the beloved son of the late Jack and Emilie (Henderson) Throm. George graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1969 and later from the IUP School of Business. He enjoyed a successful career in sales, where he thrived on the interaction with people and the thrill of closing a deal. Known for his beautiful smile and charming wit, George was always the life of the party. There was nothing he wouldn't tackle, and he was always ready to lend a hand and of course be the supervisor. George was a devoted husband to Ella (Muza) Throm and a wonderful stepfather to Michael Muza. He was a loving brother to Len Mallin (Barb), Jack Throm Jr. (Judy), Terry Throm Sr., Kelly Hoover (Melvin), and the late Bonnie Dneaster. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Bonnie (Throm) Dneaster. George is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Eric Mallin, Tracy Mallin, Jack Throm, III (Katie), Robert Throm (Jacyln), Ryan Throm, Brigette Valery (Corey), April Kobistek (Brian), Terry Throm Jr. (Nicole), Kendall Throm, John Dneaster (Helen), Emilie Dneaster, and Josh Hoover (Chandni), as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Friday, October 17 at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity where funeral services will be held at 10 AM Saturday with The Rev. L. Samuel Scheiderer officiating. Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township.
