Gerald D. Freeman
April 19, 1949 - December 31, 2021 (Age 72)
Mr. Gerald D. Freeman, 72, of Charlotte, passed Friday, December 31, 2021, at Presbyterian Hospital. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Golden Acre Baptist Church, Stallings, NC with Preacher Bruce Pope officiating. Service to follow at 2:00 pm. Graveside service to follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
Mr. Freeman was born in Union County, the son of the late Woodrow P. Freeman and Margaret M. Freeman. He retired after 38 years of being an auto mechanic. Jerry was saved in 1976 and devoted his life to Jesus, his wife, and his family. He was married to Judy W. Freeman for 54 years and was a loving father to his children.
Survivors include his wife, Judy Wilson Freeman, sons, Joe Freeman of Greenville, SC, Jarred Freeman and wife Heather of Monroe, NC, daughter Jennifer White and husband Roger of Concord, NC, sisters Ella Daugherty and husband Frankie of Mint Hill, NC, Bobbie Starnes and husband Billy of Stanfield, NC. Grandchildren are Jessica, Jordan, Mykenzie, and Jakob. Three great-grandkids and many nieces and nephews. Proceeded in death by his daughter, Angie Kelly, and sister Lorene Price.
