Gerald Miller, 89, of Claysburg, passed away Friday August 27, 2021 at UPMC-Altoona. He was born June 13, 1932 in Claysburg, son of the late Franklin Earl and Ethel F. (Fleck) Miller. He married Helen I. Harr on June 11. 1954 in Winchester, VA. She preceded him in death on August 4, 2005.
Surviving are four children Melody Mentzer of East Freedom, Dodi R. Krise of Imler, G. Stephen Miller of East Freedom and Lori K. Miller of Claysburg, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters Betty Weyandt, Evelyn Lingenfelter and Verna Tremmel and a brother Charles Miller.
Gerald attended the Claysburg Church of God. He served in the U.S. Army and retired as an engine operator from Union Tank, Altoona after more than 25 years of service.
Gerald enjoyed watching old westerns, spending time with his family, especially his great grandson Camden and visiting with his niece Beverly Black.
