Gerald Robert Cole

Gerald "Jerry" Robert Cole, age 51, of Monroe, North Carolina passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 peacefully into the presence of the Lord.
Jerry was born on January 24, 1970 in Wheeling, WV to the late Charles William Cole Sr. and Eva Roby Cole. He was second in the line of four siblings.
Jerry worked long hours as a job superintendent on construction sites. His last employment in 2009, prior to a heart attack was with D.O.T. Construction in Charlotte, NC. Outside of work, Jerry was an excellent cook, enjoyed fishing as well as hunting. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys and West Virginia University football fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles William Cole Sr. and grandparents, Goff and Willa Golden Cole and Jesse and Iva Buchanan Roby.
Jerry is survived by his son, Jesse Robert Cole; his mother, Eva Roby Cole; siblings, Charlie (Monica) Cole, Mike (Heather) Cole, Sr., Michelle (Mike) Blais; Nieces and nephews, Mike (Sarah) Cole, Jr., Joey (Tiffany) Cole, Hope, Drew, Liah and Kate Blais; great nieces and nephews; Riley and Rhett Cole and Liam Cole.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 10:00am to 11:30am at McEwen Funeral Service Mint Hill Chapel 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Rd Mint Hill, NC 28227. Graveside services will follow at 12:00 noon at Sunset Memory Gardens 8901 Lawyers Road Mint Hill, NC 28227.
