Gertrude Pearson
July 13, 1935 - September 16, 2024 (Age 89)
Gertrude "Trudy" Lewis Pearson, age 89, of Harrisburg, North Carolina, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, September 16, 2024.
Trudy was born on July 13, 1935, in Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, to the late John William Lewis and Iva Rose Lewis.
She was a housewife, mother, and served her Lord. Trudy raised her children in church, taught them the word of God, sang songs to glorify her heavenly Father, and was a prayer warrior. She loved helping people in need. Trudy enjoyed sewing, gardening, and canning vegetables.
After her beloved husband passed away, she went to work at Northeast Middle School until she retired.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Pearson; her daughter, Carol Siskron; and grandson, Jeremy Stone. She is survived by her daughters, Diane (Robert) McClellan, Patsy (Tom) Price, and Betsy (Steve) Spaeth; grandchildren, Tara Nogueras, Shawn (Barbara) Siskron, Robin McClellan, Tina (Luke) Hordyk, Austin Spaeth, and Brandon Spaeth; great grandchildren, Zoey, Kaylen, and Mason; and great great grandchildren, Makenzie, and Annaleigh.
A visitation for Gertrude will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Eastway Church of God, 1131 Eastway Dr, Charlotte, NC 28205. A funeral service will immediately follow. Gertrude will be laid to rest at occur Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
