Gladys Elizabeth Salmons

Gladys Elizabeth Salmons, 78; formerly of Westerville, Ohio passed away December 10, 2024 at Mill Run Care Facility in Hilliard, Ohio. She was born in Huddy, Kentucky on August 30, 1946, the seventh child to the late Gaylord and Pauline Salmons. A former resident of Gallia County who was a 1965 graduate of Southwestern High School, Patriot, Ohio. After graduation she migrated to Columbus, Ohio where she made her home. She retired from Mettler Toledo in 2008 but her ambitious personality kept her at part time work until her health began to fail. She was gifted at many things, one being her home. One would enter and be reminded of a page in an interior design book.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her only son, Christopher (Michelle Cassagrande) Salmons, Dublin, Ohio; her grandchildren: Desta Marie, Aiden Christopher, and Shayne Kathleen; sisters: Cordie Arnett, Canal Winchester, Hazel Skidmore, Columbus, Ohio, Daisy Gierke, Columbus, Ohio, Eleanor (David) Hart, Powell, Ohio, Linda (Bill) Ratliff, Vinton, Ohio, and Patricia Arnett, Columbus, Ohio; brother, Zat Salmons, Gallipolis, Ohio; numerous nieces and nephews, who she dearly loved and many extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, Glad (as her family always called her) was preceded in death by an infant sister, Lucinda Salmons; sister, Lyda Hall; brother, Alvis Salmons; and nephews, Brian Salmons and Steve Ratliff.

Cremation is entrusted to Ohio Cremation & Memorial Society. A private family internment will be conduced at the convenience of the family in Franklin Hills Memory Garden in Canal Winchester.
