Glen Howard Rambler
April 17, 1933 - January 14, 2025 (Age 91)
Glen Howard Rambler, 91, of Millersville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Born in Honey Grove, PA, he was the son of the late James William Rambler and Mary Clementine Buchannan. He was preceded in death by his brother, Foster Rambler, and sister, Freeda Hoffman. He celebrated 71 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Bunny Elmira Rambler.
Glen served in the Army during the Korean War from 1953-1955. For 41 years, Glen worked at Donnelly Printing as a machine operator. He was an avid builder of model planes and gliders, all of which he flew. He was a talented woodworker who made guitars, violins, dulcimers, artisan vases, and plates. During his free time, he loved to hunt and fish.
Throughout his life, he was a member of various organizations, including a lifelong membership to Greenhill Sportsman’s Club, NRA, AMA, and IHMSA.
In addition to his wife, Bunny, he is survived by two sons, Steven Glen Rambler (Diane) and Mark Kevin Rambler (Jacqueline), both of Lancaster, PA; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and feline companion Bubbles.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Glen’s Funeral Service at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 500 Pearl Street, Lancaster, PA, on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Bob Ierien officiating. A Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at Conestoga Memorial Park, 95 Second Lock Road, returning for a luncheon at Redeemer Lutheran Church. Parking is available at Wheatland Middle School where a shuttle will provide transport to the Church.
