Gloria Jean Smith

Gloria J. Smith, 71, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, April 20, 2026.
Born in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Gloria was the daughter of the late Francis Cornell Stroud and the late Grace Woody Stroud. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Francis Stroud Jr. and Jerry Wayne Stroud.
Gloria enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also liked reading books and playing Bingo, simple likings that brought her happiness with those she loved.
Gloria is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Smith (Kenny); her son, Robert Smith (Jessica); her former husband, Ronald Smith; and her ten beloved grandchildren: Grace Hill, Jay Hill, Chloe Smith, Jordynn Smith, Aydan Smith, Ali Smith, Tryston Shugart, Phoenix Shugart, Bethany Shugart, and Nyla Lighty.
A graveside service will be held at Grandview Memorial Park – Cherry Road at 2:00p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, 620 S Cherry Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Gloria’s memory to Wayne T. Patrick Hospice and Community Care.
