Gloria JoAnna Massafra
March 4, 1935 - July 31, 2024 (Age 89)
Gloria Massafra, age 89, of Monongahela, PA, was heaven sent on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, from her home in Monongahela, PA.
She was earthbound since March 4, 1935 the daughter of the late Albert Christina and the late Antoinette Barone.
Gloria was a 1953 graduate of Monongahela High School and received her Beauty License in 1953 also.
She was employed in the credit department of Mellon Bank, then with Kopper's 7th Avenue in Pittsburgh working with the amortization of TAR products, and most recently as an advertising representative for Mon Valley Tour and the Valley Independent. She also managed rental property for over 30 years and enjoyed every challenge it presented.
Gloria loved to write poetry and often did so under the pseudonym Sapphire.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Sam Massafra; her son, Sam Massafra; and a daughter-in-law Michele Massafra.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter Gina (Mark) Sullivan; a son Richard Massafra; a daughter-in-law Debbie Massafra; grandchildren, Nathan (Amiee) Massafra, Dena Massafra, Catherine Massafra, and DeAnna Fenton; great grandchildren, Logan Trilli, Dominic Trilli, Abigail Trilli, Brecken Massafra, Amelia Fenton and Zachary Fenton; also several nieces and nephews.

Private Services and Interment were held on Friday August 2, 2024 at Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora, PA
