Grace Waddell

Grace E. “Gracie” Waddell, 91, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, in Delmont. She lived a life defined by strength, kindness, and a gentle spirit that touched all who knew her. Gracie was always ready with a warm smile and found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Born on March 9, 1935, in West Mifflin, Pa, she was the daughter of the late Lory and Anna (Detwiler) Shoaf. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lee Waddell, in 2016; an infant son, Darrell; and a sister. Gracie had a passion for making crafts and building puzzles, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially visits from her great-grandchildren, Jayden, Gage, and Gunnar, who brought endless happiness to her days. She is survived by her loving children, Cheryl (Nick) Marcius of SC, Ken (Lynne) Waddell and Ron Waddell; her cherished grandchildren, Mary Mortimore, Brian Waddell, AnnaJean (Russell) Buckholz, Jason (Courtney) Waddell, Lori Marcius, and Jennifer Michael Stefanio; and her adored great-grandchildren, Jayden, Gage, Gunnar, Reece, Ruby, Kinley, and Tegan. A special thank you is extended to the staff of Ark Manor Personal Care and Via Guest Hospice for the compassionate care they provided in honoring Grace’s wishes. To honor Gracie’s wishes, all services and burial will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ott Funeral Home, Inc., 805 Pennsylvania Avenue, Irwin, PA 15642. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Westmoreland County Humane Society. Gracie will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her
