Grover Kenneth “Ken” Bailey, 84, of Rock Hill, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on October 18, 2025. Born on March 18, 1941, in Rock Hill, Ken was a lifelong resident who took great pride in his hometown and its history.
He retired after a 30-year career with Siemens-Westinghouse, where he was known for his good humor and occasional practical jokes. A devoted outdoorsman, Ken enjoyed deer and turkey hunting and spent years collecting local arrowheads, antique bottles, and Catawba Indian pottery—reflecting his deep appreciation for South Carolina’s heritage.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Grover Cleveland Bailey and Grace Munn Bailey. He is survived by his wife, Alice Summers Bailey; sons, Kenneth Jeffrey Bailey and Douglas Lee Bailey (wife Sarah); grandson, Adam Lee Bailey (wife Katie); and great-granddaughters, Margaret Anna Bailey and Jane Elizabeth Bailey.
The family will receive friends at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm. A graveside service will follow at Grandview Memorial Cemetery at 3:00 pm.
