Guy E. Holmes

Guy E. Holmes, 93, of North Versailles, died Monday, Jan. 8, 2024, in his home. He was born Nov. 21, 1930, in Dravosburg, Pa., a son of the late William T. and Emmaline Cigrand Holmes. Guy was a member of the former Penns Woods United Methodist Church of North Huntingdon. He spent his career as a core maker for Westinghouse Air Brake, Wilmerding. He also proudly served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fay M. Brookmiller Holmes; brothers, William and James Holmes; sisters, Martha Heath and Katherine Moore; an infant brother and sister; and son-in-law, James Hough. He is survived by his two children, Susan Hough, of Prospect, Conn., and Charles Holmes (Jo), of Irwin; four grandsons, Mathew Hough (Shari), Christopher Hough (Amy), Sean Holmes and Logan Holmes (Kristin); five great-grandchildren, Peyton and Aiden Hough, Alexis and Aaron Hough and Victor Larger; and numerous nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Guy from 11 a.m. until the time of services at noon, Friday in the OTT FUNERAL HOME INC., 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin, PA 15642, 724 863-8900.
